ObjectiveTo explore the practical value of big data-targeted text messaging in the recruitment of voluntary blood donors, and to enhance the efficiency and precision of blood donation recruitment.MethodsBased on the big data-targeted text messaging systems of China Telecom, China Mobile, and China Unicom—the three major telecommunication operators in China—and integrating them with the context of voluntary blood donation recruitment, this study investigated key implementation pathways such as big data integration, multi-dimensional screening of target users, and dynamic targeted text message dissemination. The feasibility of these approaches was verified through practical cases.ResultsCompared with traditional text message recruitment methods, big data-targeted text messaging achieved precise reach to target populations defined by specific geographic scopes, demographic attributes, and behavioral characteristics. Conclusion Big data-targeted text messaging demonstrates certain innovation and feasibility in the precise recruitment of voluntary blood donors, providing blood collection and supply institutions with an efficient recruitment solution and offering a reference for the provision of precise services in voluntary blood donation.
