The Editorial Board of Chinese Health Quality Management has established the following regulations regarding erratum and retraction:
1.Corrections
Upon discovery of errors in published works, an erratum notice shall be promptly issued, and the correct version shall be updated on the journal£§s website and database platforms.
2.Retraction
When a published article is found to involve academic misconduct, serious scientific errors, or ethical issues, Chinese Health Quality Management will initiate the retraction process, which includes the following steps:
(1) Retraction Trigger: Upon receiving reports from readers, self-identification by authors, or self-inspection by the editorial board revealing the aforementioned issues in an article, a retraction investigation procedure shall be immediately initiated.
(2) Investigation and Verification: The editorial board will organize experts to investigate and verify the suspected violating article, including re-examining original data, experimental records, ethical review documents, etc.
(3) Retraction Decision: If the investigation confirms the presence of academic misconduct, serious scientific errors, or ethical issues in the article, the editorial board will convene a meeting of the editorial committee to discuss and make a retraction decision.
(4) Retraction Notice: The editorial board will send a "Retraction Notice" with an electronic seal to the authors of the article, clearly stating the reasons, basis, and handling decision for the retraction. Simultaneously, the authors are required to sign and return the receipt within 7 working days after receiving the notice to confirm receipt of the retraction notification.
(5) Publication of Retraction Statement: After the retraction decision takes effect, the editorial board will publish a retraction statement in subsequent issues. The retraction statement will include the article title, author information, reasons for retraction, basis for handling, and subsequent warnings, and will be marked with the article£§s DOI number to ensure traceability of the retraction information.
(6) Follow-up Actions: The editorial board will update the article status on the journal£§s website and database platforms, marking the article as "retracted"; if the retraction involves academic misconduct, the editorial board will notify the author£§s research institution, funding agency, and superior authorities of the retraction decision, recommending that they take appropriate measures; the editorial board will retain records related to the retraction as part of the journal£§s academic integrity archives for future reference and inquiry.
(7) Author Appeal: If the authors have objections to the retraction decision, they may submit a written appeal to the editorial board within 15 working days after receiving the "Retraction Notice." The editorial board will organize experts to review the appeal and make a review decision within 30 working days after receiving the appeal. The review decision is final, and the authors must accept and comply with it.
