Abstract:
ObjectiveTo analyze the quality of ultrasonic diagnosis of follicular thyroid carcinoma and make suggestions for improvement.MethodsFifty-six patients with follicular thyroid carcinoma diagnosed surgical pathology in a hospital from January 2016 to April 2022 were retrospectively collected and analyzed. Preoperative ultrasound report image retention completeness rate, description completeness rate, diagnosis conformity rate and guideline application rate were analyzed. Fifty-six cases of follicular thyroid carcinoma were retrospectively evaluated using the American Thyroid Association (ATA) risk stratification guidelines and the American College of Radiology Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (ACR-TIRADS).ResultsPreoperative ultrasound image retention was complete in 43 cases (76.8%) of patients with follicular thyroid carcinoma,ultrasound report description was complete in 44 cases (78.6%) of patients with follicular thyroid carcinoma, and ultrasonic diagnosis result was consistent or basically consistent with surgical pathology in 51 cases (91.1%) of patients with follicular thyroid carcinoma. In addition to the guideline application rate, there was no significant difference in the image retention completeness rate, description completeness rate and diagnostic conformity rate of follicular thyroid carcinoma ultrasound reports among different professional titles of sonographers (P> 0.05). The classification results of ATA guidelines and ACR-TIRADS guidelines for 56 cases of follicular thyroid carcinoma were consistent with the surgical pathological results, and there was statistical significance in the diagnosis coincidence rate of ultrasonography, ATA guidelines and ACR-TIRADS guidelines for follicular thyroid carcinoma (P£¼0.05).Conclusion Preoperative ultrasonic diagnosis of follicular thyroid carcinoma has a high conformity rate, and the application of ATA guidelines and ACR-TIRADS guidelines is helpful to improve the diagnostic accuracy of follicular thyroid carcinoma. Sonographers should strengthen the standardization of writing ultrasonic diagnosis reports, increase the application rate of thyroid nodule malignant risk stratification guidelines, and enhance the understanding of follicular thyroid carcinoma, so as to further improve the quality of ultrasonic diagnosis of follicular thyroid carcinoma.
